Collections

My work celebrates a diversity of materials ranging from contemporary linens to precious metals and stones, as well as remnant plastics and found objects.

Each collection is disparate but united by my fascination for plants.

Eucalypt Collection

This collection arose out of the litterfall works that formed a part of The trees have names exhibition. Based on the Australian Eucalyptus torquata (coral gum) leaves and more recently the leaves of Eucalyptus punctata (grey gum) they seek to be reminders of the beautiful leaf litter we tread on as we go about our days.

Stamen and Fringed Collection

Many Australian flowers feature masses of stamens in a range of vibrant colours, bottlebrush, wattles, eucalyptus and melaleuca flowers being just some examples. This collection honours these fringed beauties.

Corona

This collection is inspired by the gumnut fruits of the Australian eucalyptus family of plants. The often triangular valves on these round fruit are reminiscent of crowns, hence the title of this series ‘corona’ with its historical meaning from the Latin word for “crown or garland”.

Flowerets

Inspired by Australia’s very small correa, boronia, crowea and heath flowers many in their pre bloom floweret form this new range draws attention to these often-overlooked tiny flowers.

Daisy Punch

This collection is inspired by the flowers of the many Australian and exotic daisy species. The colourful plastic forms are ‘punched’ out of remnant plastic sheeting from the stationary industry.
